Welcome to HanZi Code, a place to reveal the mysteries hidden in Chinese characters, both in the classified and simplified Chinese words, commonly used widely among Chinese speaking people and nations (both Korea and Japan use the traditional characters, which are called Hanjia in Korea and Kanji in Japan).
For those who do not speak any Chinese, you need to know just this: modern Han characters are basically pictograms, phonograms, or combinations of the two and have amazingly maintained their primary structural integraty despite of the long Chinese history.
At the moment, we are in the process of translating the content of this website’s Chinese counterpart hazimima.com into English, Korean and Japanese (redirected to the traditional Chinese section at the moment). If you would like to join us for this huge project, please contact us. Thanks!
